Women with #COVID19 can breastfeed.
They should:
🤱🏼Wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand rub frequently
🤱🏻Wear a medical mask during any contact with the baby
🤱🏾Sneeze or cough into a tissue
🤱Routinely clean and disinfect surfaces touched
Mothers with symptoms of COVID-19 are advised to wear a medical mask, but even if this is not possible, breastfeeding should be continued. Babies should be fed nothing but breast milk for their first 6 months, after which they should continue breastfeeding and eating other nutritious and safe foods until 2 years of age or beyond.
Breast milk saves children’s lives as it provides antibodies that give babies a healthy boost and protects them against many childhood illnesses.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Pusat Laktasi Kebangsaan telah dirasmikan pada 1 Ogos 2008 oleh Y.Bhg. Dato’ Liow Tiong Lai, Menteri Kesihatan Malaysia semasa majlis pelancaran ‘Buku Tata Etika Pemasaran Makanan Bayi Dan Produk Berkaitan sempena Minggu Penyusuan Susu Ibu Sedunia di Auditorium Hospital Selayang.
WHO WE ARE
Pusat Laktasi Kebangsaan merupakan organisasi sokongan kepada Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia yang berpusat di peringkat hospital. Terdiri daripada seorang Pakar Perunding Kanan Obstetrik & Ginekologi, tiga orang Pegawai Sains Pemakanan, dua orang Penyelia Jururawat dan seorang Pembantu Tadbir.

WHAT WE DO
Kami berperanan menyokong Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia menjalankan program-program berkaitan penyusuan susu ibu di peringkat kebangsaan. Kami juga bertindak sebagai pusat rujukan penyusuan susu ibu disamping bergerak aktif dalam mempromosikan, melindungi dan menyokong penyusuan susu ibu.
